An unexpected moment!

“Unexpected moments are the best and memorable” Yes, indeed they are!! Unexpectedly getting something from his parents which he was asking for since long ago is precious moment for a 5-year-old. When her boyfriend surprises her with a marriage proposal, she feels like being on cloud nine or something as simple as meeting an old friend out of the blue is joyful. For a mom, after a hectic day at work, suddenly getting hugs or kisses from her kid is priceless. We all have experienced many unexpected moments in our life and always cherish those sweet memories!!

Often, we are caught up in unexpected moments which are not so good and happy, but they teach us in many ways. Likewise, what we all are going through these days! All these Things which we all are experiencing currently are more than unexpected to all of us. Lockdown, quarantine, social distancing; these words are as new as this virus thing to many of us. Our life has changed to many levels because of this unpredicted pandemic. Most of us are not liking it as well. Although Staying at home for most of the daytime is usual for SAHM like me, but I can see many people are having their lives turned upside down. No one is spared form this global outbreak. To make this lockdown easy, many have taken it as an opportunity to learn new things, many are trying their hand at different skills, and some are taking health seriously now and starting to exercise. Even though we are parted by boundaries and languages, we all are sailing in the same boat!! We all are learning to cope with this never before life change, and we all are trying our best to keep it normal and staying positive but deep down inside we don’t know what the future is. Will, we ever be able to live our so-called normal life again?? There are many unanswerable questions.

During all this going on around us, one thing caught my eye which was not totally unexpected, but it brought a smile to my face, and that thing was none other than the first blooms of spring!! Little light green leaves are all set to bring new life into that bare tree and make everything beautiful again. This year’s spring has sprung to remind us that there is hope. Trees which are beginning to bud are teaching us to slow down the pace of life and enjoy the small joys which would remain unnoticed otherwise. We should start finding happiness in ourselves rather than in other materialistic things. Work is not more important than family; spending time with family is the best gift one can give. And above all, whenever we get a chance, be one with the earth: because mother earth is healing, so we are!!
