An unexpected moment

by Priyanka
In this busy world, everyone was engaged with their schedules and activities in daily routines and all my family and friends’ timetables and plans were operating smoothly.

Suddenly, a few weeks ago, we heard about an outbreak of pandemic disease (covid-19) in this world. We know covid-19 will fundamentally alter the world, but these changes may not be the ones we expect. Life can change in a moment and it is filled with unexpected events. Having to face uncertainty in life can also help us to learn how to adapt, overcome challenges, and increase our resiliency.

Pandemics happen when a new virus emerges to infect people and can spread between people sustainably. Because there is little to no pre-existing immunity against the new virus it spreads worldwide. It’s infecting people and spreading easily from person to person. This infects people of all ages.

Handling this situation is difficult for each individual in this world. Life is filled with uncertainty, especially at times like this, while many things remain outside your control. Your mindset is the key of coping with difficult circumstances and facing the unknown.

The current covid-19 pandemic has heightened uncertainty over the economy, employment, finances and of course physical and mental health. Yet as human beings we crave security. If you are overwhelmed by uncertainty and worry, it’s important to know that you are not alone. Many of us are in the same boat at this time.

There are steps you can take to better deal with and alleviate your anxiety and face the unknown with more confidence, many changes for each individual in this world from newborn to old age. They are following social distancing, working from home, e-learning for kids. No entertainment, no international travels, no outside play in summer.

A salute to all medical professionals, those who are working on the front lines of this pandemic. Great thanks to all teachers for helping kids in their academic e-learning. And special thanks to working people in grocery stores helping us to shop the basic needs of our lives.

Finally, miracles should happen to break this chain of covid-19 and end this pandemic. God possesses the power to control and remove the pandemic from our midst.

Stay safe, stay home.
